These terms apply to the Staks app and this website. By using Staks, you agree to them. They're in plain words; if anything is unclear, email support@staksapp.com.
What Staks is
Staks is a scorekeeping tool for in-person games. It never holds, sends, receives or processes money, and it isn't a party to any game, bet or debt between players. All payments between players happen outside the app.
Who can use it
You must be 18 or older, or the legal age where you live if that's higher.
Results come from what you enter
Balances, results and settle-up payments are worked out only from what's entered. Everyone at the table is responsible for checking them together, including Game History, before anyone pays.
Follow the laws where you play
Betting on games is restricted in some places. Use Staks only for games that are allowed where you are, and never to run a gambling business, such as taking a cut of the pot or charging people to play.
Provided as is
Staks is provided as is and as available, with no promise that it's free of mistakes or always available, to the fullest extent the law allows.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Staks' maker isn't responsible for losses, disputes or payments based on what Staks shows, or for any indirect or consequential damages. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
Your games and your phone
Your games are stored on your phone. Keeping your phone secure is up to you, and deleting the app deletes your games.
Fair use
Don't try to break, overload or misuse the app or this website.
Apple
If you got Staks from the App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. Apple isn't responsible for Staks or its support.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms and will change the date above when we do. For significant changes, we'll also tell you in the app. Using Staks after a change means you accept the updated terms.
